The above images are examples of the cards you might choose to make. All supplies will be provided for you to create your own designs and greetings, with each registrant having supplies to make at least 5 cards. You’ll probably have to finish making some of them at home, though.
Samples for staff projects appear to the right.
This month we will be welcoming the season change with Fall nature crafts.
If you have anything (lace, bottles, feathers, flowers, anything transparent or translucent), bring it along. You will have at least 3 (8.5″ x 11″ or 8″ x 8″) fabric pieces to experiment with, so be on the lookout for objects of interest. If you are looking for examples, Google “cyanotype prints” or “sun prints” and click on Images to get ideas. Some ideas appear below.
Once you sign up, you may send me one favorite picture (antique, nature or family photos) in .jpg format, and I will reverse the image and print it onto a transparency. You will then be able to use this to transfer the photo to the fabric. Just one photo per person, please. I can be reached at ccantrell@rhmlibrary.org. Put “Artful Adult – July photo” as the subject.
Depending upon the weather, we may do the project outside or we may work on it in the library.
