Star Party at the Library!

November 2, 2022 @ 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Join us for an evening of fun and learning presented by the St. Louis Astronomical Society. We’ll meet in the Library’s program room for an overview of the library telescope including tips on proper handling of the telescope, basic operation and navigating the night sky. There will be a “hands-on” portion of the program that will help keep youngsters engaged. The length of the inside program will vary based upon the number of guests, but typically will not last more than one hour.

Weather permitting, we will take the telescopes out to the Heights parking lot and use them to find real objects in the night sky. What we will be able to see will depend on the view of the horizon from where we set up our telescopes and the cloud cover that might block our view. We may be able to see several solar system objects.

This program is free and all are welcome.
